Working to scale

We recently completed an assignment for Photo Imaging at RMIT. This one was to show a sense of contrasting scale, ie: giant people in a smaller world, or little people in a big world.

My idea developed from wanting to use a collection of old books I have at home. They have character, tell their own stories and have always wanted to photograph them. After discussions with lecturers and a bit of brainstorming, we came up with the concept of three small people constructing the book, word by word.

I learned a lot through this one, mainly the use of the pen tool in Photoshop, but also patience in completing a project 🙂
